Overview

Becoming a member of our Teaching Circle means that you have a licence to use the patterns I teach in my Sewing Circle to run "in-person" workshops in your local community.

What's involved?

As a Teaching Circle Member you'll get...

  • licence to use and teach the patterns inside my membership
  • my support with your questions to help you establish your in person classes.
  • access to our teaching circle community (to connect with others also taking my work out into the world)

Who can Apply?

Any member of the Sewing Circle may apply however we ask that you've had at least 6 months in the membership, before applying.

It is possible to apply if you are currently not a member of the Sewing Circle, however you need to have been a member for at least 6 months in the past. If you're application is successful, you'll need to re-join the membership as part of our licensing fee.

Successful applicants will have mastered the techniques & skills that I teach in the Sewing Circle and possess similar values while still offering their own unique style.

What is the cost?

Our introductory licence fee is USD240 per year (in addition to your Sewing Circle membership).

There is an annual fee that is payable for the Teaching Circle, which will automatically renew each year while you choose to stay teaching my work.

Alternatively we offer a trial 3 month licensing period for USD75 (in addition to your Sewing Circle membership). This is a great option if you'd like to try out running sewing circles.

Please note that when you leave the Teaching Circle, you will no longer be able to licence & teach my patterns.

What could you earn by teaching workshops?

Teaching "in person" sewing circles are a beautiful way to connect with the women in your local community. Holding space for women to explore their creativity and refuel with some creative nourishment and connection is really much needed work.

As to what you charge for your workshops will depend on whether you are providing all the materials, whether you have venue & catering costs to consider, your time & effort, your annual Teaching Circle Fee and number of attendees.

If you are new to teaching, Natalie and our community is there to help you with these aspects.

With over 87 patterns to choose from that is continually growing, you will have endless inspiration and support to create a thriving in person sewing circle.

Is there any support offered?

Yes Natalie is happy to offer mentoring to those that would like some support with establishing their sewing circle. You'll be able to voice note Natalie with any questions to get guidance and encouragement.

You will also be able to ask questions of the Teaching circle community, to see what others are doing.

What happens if my application is successful?

Successful applicants will be invited to a video call with Natalie to connect face to face and confirm suitability.

Other details to note...

Please note that should your application be successful you will be required to sign a licence agreement, where you will agree to not use my patterns online in anyway.
