The pattern you will be provided (& materials list) is for doll about 28cm / 11 inches. You can obviously adjust the pattern to make a smaller or larger doll.

Daisy's body is made from cotton knit fabric - you will learn to sew this by hand (or machine if you choose) and how to insert the hands. You will learn to make a traditional Waldorf doll contoured head with eye line, and how to embroider eyes & a mouth.

The beauty of such a doll is that you don't need to make additional clothes, meaning it is a great project if you are just beginning on your doll making journey.

There are a few options I will share with you when it comes to the hair. Crocheting is always a beautiful skills to learn when it comes to doll making, however for those who don't wish to learn, I will teach you other simple options.

No. This doll can be entirely hand sewn - even if you are new to sewing.

You may choose to use a machine to sew up your body to make the process a little quicker, however I strongly recommend the magic that comes from those quiet moments slow stitching your doll.

The course consists of 3 modules and an introductory module

1. Making the Body + Hands
2. Making the Doll Head & Embroidering the Face
3. Bringing your doll together & Hair

If you join us for a sew-along (beginning 8 November 2022), the course will officially run for 6 weeks. Allowing us 2 weeks on each module.

You will however have ongoing access to the course videos for the life of my website.

No, we have found that written instructions are not necessary for the 1:1 way of teaching I am able to offer via video lessons.

Yes yes yes! As long as you have the desire to learn and have a little bit of time (even if only evenings or weekends) to sit and watch the videos & follow along, you'll be able to create a cuddle doll.

So many of my students have never sewn before and are amazed at what they can create!

This will depend on whether you are purchasing everything from scratch or already have some supplies.

It will also depend on whether you only want to buy the exact amount of items or a little more, so you have left overs for future dolls & projects.

I estimate that purchasing all the materials (if you are totally new and have nothing in your sewing basket) would be about USD44/ AUD70 - and this should give you enough to make more than one doll.

If you get stuck you can either post a question or share a video in the facebook group. I will then be able to offer you guidance and if required a video demonstration.
