As I’m sure many of you know Yuki is the most incredible felt artist and designer of magical creations. ✨ She is also a very warm and generous soul and I truely feel honoured to be sharing her beautiful pattern with our members. 💜 🚪✨🧚‍♂️ The Enchanted Fairy Door Needle Case was our August project inside the Sewing Circle and we have all been loving creating with Yuki’s gorgeous patterns ✨ 🪡🧵✂️ If you’re new here - the Sewing Circle is my monthly membership where I share Waldorf inspired hand stitching project each month. One of my favourite story telling dolls that we ma One of my favourite story telling dolls that we make inside the Sewing Circle - Forest Folk Mama 🍄🍂✨ Can you just imagine her foraging the forest for mushrooms & other delights for her family? I love to think of all the adventures she has with her two little ones trudging through the forest floor, tucking this & that into her apron pocket. I often get asked how these dolls can be used. Firstly they are perfect for storytelling with young children which is a bit of Waldorf playgroup & preschool thing. I also love story dolls for the seasonal table - a visual representation of the season that we are travelling through. And of course for the preschool child these dolls can be lots of fun to create their own play scenes and stories along with animals & other small world play items. But of course this often needs to be role modelled first, especially if children haven’t seen a told/ prop story. And finally I see any form of doll making as therapy. Dolls speak deeply to our inner most self and provide a comfort in challenging time (or just everyday life!)
