A sweet story doll for Spring ….🌸 Lady Spring (as she is often referred to in #Waldorfkindergarten) can be used to depict the magic of Springtime in storytelling and on your seasonal table.
 🌸 Adorned with flowers on her dress and in her hair, and accompanied by a little butterfly friend. I loved making her so much….although it is something to be loved by our children, I know my inner child loved the magic of slow stitching her just as much. And for the first time ever, she is also available as a kit to members of our circle.

I hope she inspires you to create some springtime magic in your home ✨

After many requests, this month in the Sewing Circle I’m sharing the Birthday Crown Basics workshop 👑 …with lots of inspiration to make a magical crown for your child.

If you’ve read my book Magical Birthdays for children you’ll know the one thing that I encourage you to make (along with the birthday stars 🌟 ) is a simple birthday crown 👑 ….Even a piece of beautiful hand dyed felt cut into a crown shape, with a simple star or some embroidery will be so loved by your little one.

A new little face ✨ my favourite thing to create is without a doubt dolls. It’s like a new little character is born each time. I try on different hair and props to get and an idea of who is wanting to come through. Sometimes I have an idea before I begin but most often I don’t. This little doll was made as I measure and make sure the materials in my new doll kits are just right (so excited to share these!). So perhaps she’ll be another mushroom mama. I’ll have to wait and see ✨

When I’m not sewing, you can usually find me in the kitchen. One of my daughters recently had surgery so orange jelly has been on high rotation here. I thought I’d snap a little reel on how I make it - a little rustic but gives you the idea.

Thanks to my lovely friend Emma @thenutritioncoach who introduced me to the healing magic of bovine gelatin back in 2012.

I usually use 500mls of freshly squeezed organic orange juice & 1 tablespoon of bovine gelatin. I use the orange juice to bloom the gelatin so no extra water is needed. If the oranges are a little tar, add a little honey. Favourite gelatin is @saturee_official_ (not sponsored just a beautiful high quality product)

A lovely nourishing snack of little ones.. my kids love it with a little cream. Add more gelatin if you want to make it into little gummies.
